Dexter Navy captures new G-Star identity and celebrates unique talent in the Uniform of the Free collection.
In the Uniform of the Free campaign film, the director presents the G-Star denim world through his raw and unexpected craftsmanship. The result is an ode to freedom, with compositions that hone in on the distinguishing attitudes, skills and voices of each talent.

Lakeyria Doughty ‘Wheelie Queen’, dirt biker

LESS BARBIE DOLLS. MORE TOY CARS AND DIRT BIKES.

Lakeyria is the Wheelie queen of the US East coast and officially, the only female dirt biker in Baltimore. She found her freedom by riding roaring dirt bikes. Since she rules in a game that used to be ruled only by men, she proved to be a perfect match for the new G-Star Uniform of the Free collection, suiting up for her rides with Deline shearling reversible bomber jacket, the high-waist G-Star Elwood Shape jeans and the 3301 Deconstructed Classic denim jacket.

Tymeir, Taheed y Caleb representan con orgullo el Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club de Philadelphia, un grupo de cowboys urbanos que galopan por las calles por su amor por la velocidad. Prefieren sentarse a más altura para conseguir la perspectiva y la libertad que necesitan para ser quienes son, sin tapujos. Jonathan Haze climbs the highest buildings to feel the purest form of freedom. In the Motac Deconstructed 3D Slim jeans – a biker-inspired denim that allows for unrestricted movement thanks to its rib panels – he challenges the conventions from up high. The Uniform of the Free quilted vest and the Data Snapback cap create a true urban dweller look. But Jonathan doesn’t dwell too much – he jumps higher and higher every time.

Meet Chase Patterson, a drummer who plays to the beat of her own heart and her own rules, reminding us of one supremely human truth – each of us wants to be our true, authentic self in this world. Zachary Ballard ‘Memphis’ finds his freedom in speed, as he drifts his Chevy. But not like the rest of them, sitting behind the wheel. His place is on top of his car, where he finds the view and the freedom to go his own way. He moves in the classic industrial work uniform reinterpreted with our signature sustainable Dock denim and the Suzaki classic leather jacket.

Manu Kondo, bona fide skater, encourages us all to stand tall and proud alongside all those unique and free. As long as you stay true to who you are, you’ll be a king, you’ll be a queen. Garrett Clark has reimagined an old-school sport and brought back the fun in golfing. After all, your calling is waiting for you to discover it and grab it, even if it means redefining a status-quo. Reinventing the old ways is right up our alley, which made Garret a great fit for the Uniform of the Free ensemble. And for his uniform of the free, he mixes a variety of sustainable denim and corduroy workwear uniforms, reimagined for the world today: the Blake padded jacket, the D-Staq 3D Skinny jeans and the Data snapback cap.
