Dexter Navy captures new G-Star identity and celebrates unique talent in the Uniform of the Free collection.
In the Uniform of the Free campaign film, the director presents the G-Star denim world through his raw and unexpected craftsmanship. The result is an ode to freedom, with compositions that hone in on the distinguishing attitudes, skills and voices of each talent.

Lakeyria Doughty ‘Wheelie Queen’, dirt biker

LESS BARBIE DOLLS. MORE TOY CARS AND DIRT BIKES.

Lakeyria is the Wheelie queen of the US East coast and officially, the only female dirt biker in Baltimore. She found her freedom by riding roaring dirt bikes. Since she rules in a game that used to be ruled only by men, she proved to be a perfect match for the new G-Star Uniform of the Free collection, suiting up for her rides with Deline shearling reversible bomber jacket, the high-waist G-Star Elwood Shape jeans and the 3301 Deconstructed Classic denim jacket.

Emilio Rodriguez, BMX rider & guitar player

BASK IN YOUR COOL.

Emilio, a BMX rider & guitar player, feels perfectly free when he combines his two most powerful skills: playing the guitar while riding his BMX. Whether he plays off key, on key or on wheels – it doesn't matter, as long as he does it his way. Emilio’s uniform of the free consists of the Motac Deconstructed 3D Slim jeans – a seamless match to Emilio’s skill, since they were designed to support freedom of movement, the Uniform of the Free regular T-shirt and the Blake padded jacket.

As an urban fusion of hip-hop and ballet, the Hiplets prove that amongst kings and queens there is no division. When they come together, they shine. FILL UP ON STRENGTH, LOVE AND PRIDE.

Tymeir, Taheed en Caleb zijn de trotse leden van de Philadelphia Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club, de urban cowboys die door de straten galopperen omdat ze gek zijn op snelheid. Ze staan niet graag met hun voeten op de grond, want ze willen genieten van de vrijheid in het zadel. De Rackam Rovulc leren laarzen – een moderne variant van legerschoenen die bij warm weer gedragen werden – houden hen stevig in het zadel en complementeren hun Uniform of the Free: de Garber teddy overjas, de D-Staq 3D jeans, het Blake gevoerde jack en de bodywarmer.

Jonathan Haze beklimt de hoogste gebouwen om de meest pure vorm van vrijheid te ervaren. In de Motac Deconstructed 3D Slim jeans, een op bikerkleding geïnspireerde denim met ribinzetten die je in alle vrijheid laten bewegen, neemt hij het vanuit de lucht niet zo nauw met de regels. De Uniform of the Free bodywarmer en de Data Snapback-pet geven hem de look van een rondhangende stadsjongen. Maar Jonathan hangt niet veel rond – hij springt elke keer hoger en hoger.

Chase Patterson is een drummer die het ritme van haar eigen hart en regels speelt. Ze herinnert ons aan één alomvattende waarheid: we willen allemaal onze eigen, authentieke zelf zijn in deze wereld. Zachary Ballard ‘Memphis’ vindt zijn vrijheid in snelheid als hij met zijn Chevy raast. Maar niet achter het stuur, zoals je zou denken. Zijn plek is op het dak van de auto waar hij het uitzicht en de vrijheid vindt om zijn eigen ding te doen. Hij kiest met onze kenmerkende, duurzame Dock denim en het Suzaki klassieke leren jack voor klassieke workwear met een moderne twist.
