Uniform Of The Free

UNIFORM
OF THE FREE

Free spirits will not be confined.

Lakeyria Doughty ‘Wheelie Queen’, dirt biker

LESS BARBIE DOLLS. MORE TOY CARS AND DIRT BIKES.

Lakeyria is the Wheelie queen of the US East coast and officially, the only female dirt biker in Baltimore. She found her freedom by riding roaring dirt bikes. Since she rules in a game that used to be ruled only by men, she proved to be a perfect match for the new G-Star Uniform of the Free collection, suiting up for her rides with the Deline shearling reversible bomber jacket, the high-waist G-Star Elwood Shape jeans and the 3301 Deconstructed Classic denim jacket.

Emilio Rodriguez, BMX rider & guitar player

BASK IN YOUR COOL.

Emilio, a BMX rider & guitar player, feels perfectly free when he combines his two most powerful skills: playing the guitar while riding his BMX. Whether he plays off key, on key or on wheels – it doesn't matter, as long as he does it his way. Emilio’s uniform of the free consists of the Motac Deconstructed 3D Slim jeans – a seamless match to Emilio’s skill, since they were designed to support freedom of movement, the Uniform of the Free regular T-shirt and the Blake padded jacket.

Nia Parker, Meghan Chiu, Alexandria Franklin, Camryn Hutchinson, the Hiplets

BE COMPASSIONATE.
BUT BE A BOSS.

As an urban fusion of hip-hop and ballet, the Hiplets prove that amongst kings and queens there is no division. When they come together, they shine. By deviating from the norm, the Hiplets create a new movement and bring people along with them. They choose to wear the Uniform of the Free Powel Mid-Skinny jeans, the 3301 Mid-boyfriend jeans and the G-Star Shape jeans, crafted to embrace the body and offer the necessary freedom of movement to rule.

Look at us, and all our glory and fight -
We are heirs to the throne.
We are kings of the night.

Tymeir Sanders, Taheed Smith and Caleb Carter, Urban Cowboy

FILL UP ON STRENGTH, LOVE AND PRIDE.

Tymeir, Taheed and Caleb proudly represent the Philadelphia Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club, the urban cowboys who gallop the streets for their love of speed. They sit on greater heights to get the perspective and freedom they need to boldly come as they are. The Rackam Rovulc leather boots – a modern rework, originally produced for warm climate army footwear – are there to hold them steady and firm, and boldly present their uniforms of the free: the Garber teddy overcoat, the D-Staq 3D Straight Tapered jeans, the Blake padded jacket and the quilted AW vest.

Jonathan Haze, Urban Climber

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE KING. SO BE.

Jonathan Haze climbs the highest buildings to feel the purest form of freedom. In the Motac Deconstructed 3D Slim jeans – a biker-inspired denim that allows for unrestricted movement thanks to its rib panels – he challenges the conventions from up high. The Uniform of the Free quilted vest and the Data Snapback cap create a true urban dweller look. But Jonathan doesn’t dwell too much – he jumps higher and higher every time.

The battle, the burden, the triumph,
the rise. You can’t confine
free spirits untamed.

Chase Patterson, drummer

FIND THE FREEDOM TO DO IT YOUR WAY.

Meet Chase Patterson, a drummer who plays to the beat of her own heart and her own rules, reminding us of one supremely human truth – each of us wants to be our true, authentic self in this world. The Bristum service denim overall gives Chase the freedom she longs for, together with the Uniform of the Free Graphic 1 pocket T-shirt in spice yellow, to give her look an extra pop.

Zachary Ballard ‘Memphis’, Ghost Rider

WE’RE FREE AS BIRDS WITH UNCLIPPED WINGS.

Zachary Ballard ‘Memphis’ finds his freedom in speed, as he drifts his Chevy. But not like the rest of them, sitting behind the wheel. His place is on top of his car, where he finds the view and the freedom to go his own way. He moves in the classic industrial work uniform reinterpreted with our signature sustainable Dock denim and the Suzaki classic leather jacket.

Independence is a thing we rule.
Cut from a cloth both rugged and true.

Manu Kondo, skater

LIVE THE DREAMS YOU’VE NEVER DREAMED BEFORE.

Manu Kondo, bona fide skater, encourages us all to stand tall and proud alongside all those unique and free. As long as you stay true to who you are, you’ll be a king, you’ll be a queen. Manu looks her-own-kind-of-royal in the Bristum service dress made out of sustainable dark-aged denim and complements it with the Vodan bomber jacket.

Garrett Clark, golfer

FREE SPIRITS - WALK IN YOUR LIGHT.

Garrett Clark has reimagined an old-school sport and brought back the fun in golfing. After all, your calling is waiting for you to discover it and grab it, even if it means redefining a status-quo. Reinventing the old ways is right up our alley, which made Garret a great fit for the Uniform of the Free ensemble. And for his uniform of the free, he mixes a variety of sustainable denim and corduroy workwear uniforms, reimagined for the world today: the Blake padded jacket, the D-Staq 3D Skinny jeans and the Data snapback cap.

We have the right
to be king. So be.
