G-Star LIVE Cologne

The worldwide G-Star LIVE platform premiered in Cologne with an exclusive live performance by local artist Moglii. He ignited the night with dance & electronic vibes and invited our audience to step into a world of creativity and innovation.

As a perfect segue, Vimes followed up with their unique electronic sounds guided by their fragile, yet vivid vocals. They reminded the audience how easily it is to dance and fall in love, by combining live instruments, digital and pop elements, ultimately creating a mesmerizing sound. Finally, a creative set from Dj Jazzmin concluded the evening with a perfect mix of Hip-Hop classics and current hits, animating the crowds into a perfect ending of the first G-Star LIVE ever.

Moglii

Moglii is the one-man project by producer, singer and jazz pianist Simon Ebener Holscher (25). He lives in Düsseldorf / Germany and creates his unique style out of warm beats, analogue synthesizers and soulful vocal samples. His modern electronic compositions are often supplemented by acoustic instruments and an organic soundscape. His futuristic pop music is influenced by the sound of Mura Masa, James Blake, Bon Iver and Flume.

Vimes

German Electronic duo VIMES comprises of Azhar Syed and Julian Stetter from Cologne, supported by drummer Johannes Klingebiel for their live shows. With only four songs released so far, VIMES have already received international recognition and love. They have played well known international festivals including Eurosonic in Groningen, Great Escape Festival Brighton, First We Take Berlin & Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg. They've also been invited to play SXSW and Canadian Music Week.

In 2014, the band locked themselves away to focus on their highly anticipated debut album with German producer Jochen Naaf (Emeli Sandé, Xul Zolar). Following ‘Celestial’, ‘House Of Deer’ and ‘Upstairs’, ‘Ential’ is the first new track of their creative collaboration that showcases the band's development and once again climbed the Top 10 HypeMachine charts.
