G-Star joined the environmental organisation Canopy in an initiative to encourage the fashion industry to avoid sourcing fabrics from ancient and endangered forests, together with a growing list of international clothing brands, retailers and designers.
RAW FOR THE OCEANS: THE PRODUCTION PROCESS EXPLAINED
The Vortex Project and Bionic share G-Star’s mission to transform waste into a unique product. Together, we collaborate in an on-going creative exploration to innovate denim and make an impact against plastic pollution of the oceans. RAW for the Oceans items are made with Bionic yarn created out of plastic waste reclaimed from the sea.
G-STAR PUBLISHES MAP WITH MANUFACTURING LOCATIONS
We are proud of the products we manufacture together with our suppliers and of the trustworthy and long-term relationships we have built up with them. We now want to show everybody at which factories G-Star products are made by publishing the Manufacturing Map.
G-STAR’S RELATIONSHIP WITH BANGLADESH - UPDATE
G-Star feels responsible for the well-being of employees working in the factories where G-Star products are made. For our production in Bangladesh we have taken some additional measures.
G-STAR POSITION ON ANGORA WOOL
G-Star does not accept that animals are treated cruelly for the production of G-Star products. We will not use angora wool in our collection until we can guarantee good animal husbandry in angora production.
