With Spring underway it's the perfect time to lighten up your wardrobe. Why not try our Ecru collection, a warm neutral fabric made using regenerative and recycled cotton, that is undyed, unbleached and untreated.
THE LIGHTER WAY
Typically, denim is created using cotton which is bleached, dyed using indigo, and then washed before it's assembled into a pair of blue jeans. Ecru denim works a little differently. Ecru is undyed cotton therefore, it skips these chemical-intensive steps leaving a more natural-looking fabric. A perfect staple for fairer weather.
THE SIMPLE FACTS
We worked with Saitex in Vietnam to create this collection; a vertically integrated mill that has solar panels installed on the roof of the facility to help generate electricity and power production. At G-Star, we love to challenge the status quo so of course, we didn't stop there. This undyed, unbleached, and unwashed cotton fabric consists of 75% regenerative cotton and 25% recycled cotton. It's also been recognised by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute and awarded a C2C Certified® Gold rating based on its performance across five critical areas of sustainability: Material Health, Product Circularity, Clean Air & Climate Protection, Water & Soil Stewardship, and Social Fairness. So go natural, choose Ecru.
